Kentucky Officials Paying A Hefty Legal Fee For Noah’s Ark Theme Park (VIDEO)

Some creationist Christians in Kentucky are building a “life-size” Noah’s Ark them park. Earlier this year, a judge ruled they were eligible for an $18 million tax incentive. The “Ark Encounter”  is the brain child of Ken Ham. The is the same Creationist nutjob who founded the ridiculous Creation Museum in Kentucky.

In December of 2014, the Creationist Museum hit a snag when they were told they were ineligible for the tax incentive. Now, the state will be stuck with $190,000 in legal fees after Ken Ham filed a lawsuit claiming “Christian persecution.”

The Ark Encounter was ruled as a for-profit business, and accused of discriminating against people in its hiring process. The job posting said that employees should have a Salvation “testimony,” a Creationist beliefs statement, and they would have to sign a statement of faith.

This is illegal under federal anti-discrimination laws. He has even asked the unmarried women he employs to sign “chastity vows.”

The lawsuit rightfully said that giving the museum the tax incentive would violate the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment:

“Even if the allegations in Plaintiffs’ Complaint are taken as true, Plaintiffs’ claims fail as a matter of law. The majority of the Complaint’s factual allegations are immaterial or implausible. Providing the public funding sought for religious purposes in this multi-count Complaint would constitute an unlawful establishment of religion under the federal Constitution and the more demanding Kentucky Constitution.”

“…Further, the denial of public funds to Plaintiffs reflects no hostility toward Plaintiffs’ faith — and as a matter of law, there has been no violation of the Free Speech Clause, Plaintiffs’ Right of Expressive Association, the Free Exercise Clause, the Equal Protection Clause, or the Due Process Clause.”

Kentucky had to pay the legal fees for losing its case. This means that even more tax money is going to this intolerant, Creationist nut-job. I can’t even put my anger into words right now.

The museum is also full of lies; check out these supposed “facts” that the place teaches, as learned by a journalist who visited the Creation Museum.

Just be careful you don’t overdose on stupid.
