‘Until Recently, They Really Hated Each Other’ — Trevor Noah Analyzes Clinton/Warren Power Duo

The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah weighed in Elizabeth Warren’s first campaign appearance with Hillary Clinton. He first acknowledged that Warren is an expert in the “fine art of trolling Donald Trump.” She is definitely good at that.

Noah said:

“Getting Elizabeth Warren to campaign with Hillary is actually a really big deal. First of all, Elizabeth Warren is one of the leading voices in the fine art of trolling Donald Trump. And she’s also one of the country’s top progressive icons today. It’s basically Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Flo.

Clinton’s main challenge is to unify the country. And this new alliance with Warren is a really good sign she’ll be able to do it, because until recently, they really hated each other.”

Here is a video from 2004 where Warren was not so nice about Clinton:

Noah says that these comments came from Warren being hungry. He said he says things when he’s hungry, too. He joked that he asked his wife for a divorce because he was hungry, but he’s not married.

Noah finished the segment with a great line:

“This is genuinely what I love about politics in America. People can spend years shitting on each other, and then when it fits their needs [they flip]. I believe this is what political scientists call ‘reverse Taylor Swift-ing’ … They used to have bad blood, but now they’ve got mad love.”

Warren was on The View this week talking about her campaign event with Clinton. She said that Hillary Clinton has a “steady hand” and that she’s smart and tough. She also said that Trump can’t bully her into shutting up.

What was Donald Trump’s retort? He called her goofy. He claims to have “the best words,” but “goofy” is all he could come up with. I’m not a lawyer, but I think being able to read might be a good requirement for our president.
