Donald Trump is really floundering in his campaign right now. Many members of the GOP are jumping ship and even switching parties.
The Trump campaign is going broke and they haven’t been able to afford a TV spot since May. They only have about $1.3 million on hand. It is getting so bad that his spawn are asking foreign politicians for money.
How is he going to “Make America Great” when he can’t even keep his campaign afloat? He has plenty of experience taking people’s money, but it’s not working now.
Now he’s got many members of the GOP jumping ship and switching parties. Iowa Senator David Johnson said:
“I will not stand silent if the party of Lincoln and the end of slavery buckles under the racial bias of a bigot.”
He also said:
“Something tells me I’m going to be on this road and probably by myself. But if I’m going to continue [being an independent], I’m going to make it mean something.”
George Will, a prominent conservative journalist, has changed parties. He has changed his voter registration from Republican to “unaffiliated.” Back in May, Trump called Will a “loser” and said:
“You know, he’s a dour guy. Nobody watches him. Very few people listen to him. It’s over for him, and I never want his support.”
Frighteningly, there is actually a Democratic politician who has changed to the Republican Party. Mayor Larry Pennock and Councilman John Carpinelli of Audubon Park, New Jersey have changed sides. Pennock said:
“As a father, it is imperative you always try to do what is right and that includes standing up for your beliefs. The Republican Party best reflects my personal views on the issues of the day, so it was important I stand up for my beliefs and change parties.”
He must not have been that strong of a Democrat. Hopefully, more people will leave the GOP as the race continues. Either that or Trump will go bankrupt…again.
