Beaten And Sexually Assaulted, These Store Workers Turned Her Away (VIDEO)

A woman in Lawrence, Massachusetts, name withheld, was the victim of a horrific attack. The woman’s boyfriend, Keyvin “Ghetto” Gil, tied her up, raped her, and threatened to shoot her. She escaped from the apartment where she was being held, and ran away screaming for help.

The Eagle Tribune reported that the woman ran into the street naked as soon as Gil fell asleep.

She reportedly ran into a nearby store for help, and the employees told her to leave. A witness called 911. That is just horrible. The people in the store should’ve helped her.

When the police found her, she was naked, wearing only the sweater someone had given to her. Her face was dirty, her feet were bare, and she had rope marks on her wrists and ankles.

The woman’s boyfriend began abusing her last Wednesday, according to the report. He became upset when he couldn’t find his marijuana stash; he accused her of smoking it. He pointed his .357 handgun at her, and then he used it to abuse her sexually. He tied her up with clothesline and burned her with cigarettes.

Gil told his victim that he was going to wait until her daughters came home, and then kill her.

The woman managed to free herself, but her wrists were still bound. She managed to get out of the apartment after Gil fell asleep.

She told herself:

“I’m not dying today. I’m going to see my daughters.”

When asked why she stayed with him, she said:

“She told me that her relationship with Keyvin has turned violent several times but that she has stayed with him because she loves him and hopes that he will change.”

Gil  was shot by a Taser and bitten by a state trooper’s dog. He was arrested for kidnapping and rape, among other things.

He is facing 13 different charges including rape, receiving stolen property, illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, domestic assault and battery, resisting arrest, and numerous counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Here are some stories of people who have survived domestic violence:
