Graduating Eighth Grader Nails Trump Impression: ’I Love China’

The 2016 election cycle has produced immense amounts of comedic material for talk show hosts, actors, and stand-ups. There is no one we can thank more for this than Donald Trump.

One bright Chicago eighth-grader has been paying attention.

NBC-16 reported the story of 350 graduating eighth graders being asked to prepare speeches for the school’s commencement ceremony. As 16 KMTR reports:

“This boy — one of four picked in his class — blew the lid off the school gym by delivering spot-on impersonations of presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, Democrats Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and a one-liner from Sen.Ted Cruz.”

One of the hilarities delivered by the boy is “Trump” thanking the foreign language faculty by saying:

“We had so many great experiences here. You know, one of those would have to be starting foreign language. We’re learning languages from France, from Spain, from Germany and CHINA. And you know, people say I don’t like China. I love China. I have so many terrific friends in China.”

The father, who asked not be named, said his son has been watching the campaigns closely and that:

“He has a passion for politics.”

At the boy’s request the family even traveled to Iowa for the caucuses, his father added.

Judging from the spot-on impersonations, this boy’s future is looking bright, whether he chooses politics or political satire.

We’ll be looking forward to seeing more of him in the future! For now, the boy’s graduation speech with all the impersonations can be viewed here:
