MSNBC Panel Says Of Trump’s Response To Orlando, ‘Taking A Victory Lap On 50 Bodies’ (Video)

Before the bodies had even been recovered and identified in Orlando yesterday, presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump was already filling his Twitter account with various offensive messages. In one, he even patted himself on the back for being right that the attack was terrorism:

This morning on the MSNBC show “Morning Joe,” a panel discussed some of the things Trump tweeted out and said it was shameful how the GOP candidate was attempting to use the tragedy for political gain. New York Times columnist Frank Bruni correctly noted:

“Everything about his reaction was very small and very unhelpful. Taking a victory lap on 50 bodies.”

Journalist Walter Isaacson said Trump’s endless talk of war and hatred of Muslims could hinder American efforts to identify and apprehend potential terror suspects:

“If we’re going to fight these lone wolfs who are being radicalized, we need to help the Muslim community. We don’t need the whole community to turn against us, we need this type of understanding of what America’s all about.”

The only thing Donald Trump is any good at it is alienating groups of people: Hispanics, Muslims, women, and anyone with an IQ above room temperature. He is a threat to everything we cherish in this country: tolerance, unity, decency, cooperation. Donald Trump is the most dangerous man in the nation right now, and those of us who see him for what he truly is must form a coalition to defeat him at the ballot box in November.
