Massachusetts House Abolishes Biological Sex (VIDEOS)

The House of Representatives in Massachusetts voted to move forward on a bill that eliminates the legal concept of biological sex, which will be replaced with gender identity.

The “Gender Identity Public Accommodations Bill,” or H.4343, will help push for transgender anti-discrimination laws. They will accomplish this goal in three parts. First, they will replace the word “sex” with “gender identity.” Secondly:

“…[a]ny public accommodation…shall grant all persons admission to and the full enjoyment of such public accommodation or other entity consistent with the person’s gender identity.”

Finally, they want the Commission Against Discrimination to amend their guidelines to accommodate gender identity. Pro-transgender group, Freedom Massachusetts, had this to say about it:

“This is a historic day for Massachusetts. The wave of legislative activity #TransBillMA has seen in the last two months is the culmination of a decade-long fight to fully protect transgender people from discrimination in the Bay State.”

Last month, President Obama sent out a letter to all of the schools in the country telling them to accommodate transgender students and allow them to use the bathroom that corresponds to their gender identity. Some school districts were angry with this action before the letter was event sent.

This is a taste of the argument going on at the Massachusetts capitol:

Of course, Republicans in Massachusetts are angry about this law already. The Massachusetts Family Institute is telling people to call their governor and get him to veto the bill. Of course, they keep saying that sex offenders will be able to go into the bathrooms. Here is a taste of the propaganda they’re spreading:

“…The bill as passed allows registered sex offenders to claim a gender identity in order to access whatever bathroom they want. The bill does not exempt churches or women’s shelters from having to yield to the demands of a man claiming to be a woman. The bill also makes it a crime for a parent to question a biological man who seeks to use the same locker room or bathroom as their daughter.”

The Republicans in the Massachusetts House of Representatives proposed more than 30 amendments to the bill; none of them passed. One amendment would’ve barred sex offenders from using the opposite sex bathroom. They also wanted an amendment to criminalize people who enter the wrong bathroom pretending to be transgender.
