WATCH: Apparently, These Students Think Racism Is Funny (VIDEO)

A Michigan high school had to discipline some racist students this week. They joked about bringing back slavery, branding Black people, and sending them back to Africa.

They captured a racist rant of a hypothetical presidential campaign in 2040. There’s talk of burning Black people with stakes and selling and trading Black people. The students even talk about not allowing black people to have coffins. They say they will just dump the bodies of Black people in the ocean.

The people in the Grosse Pointe community where these students live were completely outraged by this nasty video.

Principal Moussa Hamka said:

“During the past 24 hours, several of our students have approached staff members and administrators indicating that this video, which has been circulated via social media, offended them and made them question the values we hold dear at South.”

“Consistent with the Student Code of Conduct, we are making appropriate decisions regarding consequences for those involved, including student separations from school.”

This is not the first time racism directed students in this area, and they were caught in racist videos before There was another incident in March. A photo posted on social media showed three students at a party with the n-word painted across their stomach.

The three in the picture were suspended for a week. Additionally, two more students were suspended for threatening the people who came forward about the picture.

There were three girls and one boy in the picture. The boy painted a heart above the n-word, so it read “I [heart] n*******”

The picture was posted with the caption “Like what even,” some laughing emojis, and an emoji of a monkey covering its eyes. People sometimes use the word, “monkey” as a racial slur to describe Black people.

Superintendent Gary Niehaus said:

“We had four students at a party downstairs (in a home). They went through the process of taking a picture, posting it online and once it went viral, there were exchanges back and forth between the students, resulting in two other students being disciplined for threatening comments.”
