Texas Road Signs Hacked With Hilarious Warning About Donald Trump (VIDEO)

Someone in Texas has some messages for voters about Donald Trump (R-N.Y.) and Senator Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.) – and that person or persons hacked into Dallas’ road signs to get the word out.

Dallas-area commuters on Interstate 30 got a surprising warning this morning from the kind of traffic signs that normally warn drivers about a closed lane, or an exit. It said,

“DONALD TRUMP IS A… SHAPE SHIFTING LIZARD!!”

Apparently, whoever did this is also a Sen. Sanders supporter. Another sign read,

“BERNIE FOR PRESIDENT.”

A third sign nearby reportedly read,

“WORK IS CANCELED. GO BACK HOME.”

The hack occurred either overnight or during the holiday weekend. According to NBCDFW, the actual signs had been turned off and locked for the holiday and must have been changed manually. Ryan LaFontaine, of the Texas Department of Transportation, explained that hacking traffic signs can’t be done remotely, and that:

“You have to actually be there … Power it up and get in there and break the password.”

Apparently, there’s an epidemic of this kind of thing in Texas. Last week, someone hacked a sign near Austin to read, “Drive crazy, y’all.”

NBCDFW stressed that tampering with traffic signs is a felony, punishable by up to 10 years in jail, and could cause a hazardous distraction. Still, you have to admit it’s a pretty darned funny prank. And who knows? Maybe it will help turn Texas blue after all?
