Colorado GOP Blames Hacker For Racist Anti-Obama Photo, Even After Official Took Credit For It!

Republicans and right wingers of all stripes hate President Obama. When asked why, they pay lip service to the notion that he’s too liberal or too extreme. In the next breath, they’ll also assure you it has nothing to do with the color of his skin.

But then a leader of the Republican Party of Colorado takes to Facebook and posts this disgusting meme:

The photo briefly appeared on a Facebook page belonging to Linda Sorenson, who chairs the county Republican Central Committee. Sorenson didn’t not deny posting the image, calling it a joke and adding,

“I really don’t care if people are offended by it.”

Of course she isn’t. Because she’s a racist asshole and is proud of being one.

But the real twist to this story is that other members of the Colorado GOP now say that a hacker must have placed the “joke” photo on their Facebook page. Sue Whittlesey, the secretary of the local party, pinned the blame on the progressive group Media Matters:

“They’ve been harassing her the last few weeks.”

Now in full damage control mode, Committee vice chair Vic Ullrey insisted that Sorenson is not a racist:

“This whole thing is a hoax. Someone got into the Facebook somehow. It was hacked and somebody got into it, definitely.”

Oh, definitely! Because no Republican would ever post such a thing. Such a claim is an insult to the intelligence of every person with a brain, which obviously excludes every member of the Colorado GOP.

Republicans at the local and national level are incredibly racist, especially when it comes to President Obama, whom they simply cannot believe won by large margins in two straight elections. Were he able to seek a third term, there is little doubt he would win again.

So now we have their bogus excuse that they were hacked. But it’s instructive to recall what Sorenson herself said:

“I really don’t care if people are offended by it.”

What people are more offended by, Ms. Sorenson, is your utter lack of humanity or common decency. That’s the greatest offense imaginable.
