I Saw The Liberal Redneck’s Show And It Was Hilarious (VIDEOS)

I live in Northern Alabama, and we had a show of local comedians from the area last night. One of the performers was Trae Crowder, who is a man you may know as “The Liberal Redneck.”

The Epic Comedy Hour stopped here in my town of Huntsville, Alabama. There were six comedians performing, and it was absolutely hilarious.

Trae closed the show on a great note.

He talked about how popular his videos have gotten. He said he has even had people accusing him of being a fake redneck, but he’s not. He explained in an interview that the videos are an exaggerated version of himself, but he has always had a more liberal ideology. He called himself the “Jane Goodall for rednecks.”

He mentioned the whole debate of the Confederate Flag issue. He proposed the perfect solution to get rid of the flags. The LGBT movement needs to pick it up as their flag. If that happened, rednecks everywhere would take those flags down in a heartbeat.

He also talks about the possibility of his children coming out as gay, and he would totally be fine with it. He’s more concerned about his children’s favorite football teams.

Trae is also a comedy writer. He was accepted into the 2015 NBC Universal Late Night Writers workshop. He has had scripts make it big in other writing contests as well.

If you’re in The South, check him out. He is working on the Epic Comedy tour now, which is what I saw last night. Here is the tour event page, and you can also follow him on Facebook and Twitter.

Trae did an interview on the Lawrence O’Donnell Show in the first few minutes of the May 5 show.

He has become a bit internet-famous for his videos on YouTube, such as his latest, in which he talks about a video that went around of the lady in Target with her 12 kids. “Fake lord, have mercy!” is my new favorite phrase.
