Texas Pastor Said Transgender Bathrooms Are Worse Than ISIS

A pastor in Dallas, Robert Jeffress of the First Baptist church, said that “the chamber of commerce” is a bigger threat to our freedom than ISIS:

“I mean, it’s the businesses that say to our representatives, ‘Oh, don’t pass laws like that, don’t pass these religious freedom laws because people will interpret that as anti-gay and we’ll lose business.’ ”

Republicans have been passing these “religious freedom” laws all over the place. They believe that they are allowed to discriminate against people that are different because of their religious beliefs. They think their “rights” are being threatened. Being a bigot is not a right..

Jeffress is the same pastor that defended Trump’s comments about how women should be punished for getting an abortion.

He wants to show transgender people that the sex they were given at birth is part of “God’s plan:’

“The most loving thing we can do for those who suffer from gender confusion is to assure them their sex is not a mistake. Their gender is a part of God’s plan for their lives. That’s the most loving response.”

He says that God wants to punish us because we “sacrifice children.” He also thinks that the First Amendment’s freedom of religion clause is causing “the anger of God.” Also, he said that 9-11 was God’s punishment for allowing abortions in our country. Jerry Falwell got in loads of trouble for saying basically the same thing.

Michele Bachmann said the Brussels attacks were God’s way of punishing us for Obama visiting Cuba:

“In fact, the president appeared pleased with himself and seemed to revel in his infallible cleverness. Only he could break the barriers of isolation his misguided predecessors had painstakingly built. Only he could vouchsafe freedom against attack from legions of murderous Communist regimes and Jew-hating ayatollahs.’”

This is just a taste of the craziness that comes out of some of these RWNJs. Here is the clip of Robert Jeffress talking about 9/11.
