When you think of Kansas, you might think of that wondrous place Dorothy was trying so hard to get back to in “The Wizard of Oz.” You probably don’t think of wackadoo anti-abortion groups that believe human-animal hybrids are actually a threat to our nation. Well, sadly, that’s what we’ve got now. Sorry Dorothy. We really aren’t in your Kansas anymore.
The group Kansans for Life, an obviously pro-life organization, has asked Kansas lawmakers serious questions about where they stand on the policy of human cloning and the creation of human-animal hybrid creatures. You know, those ones like the mythical centaur or the harpy.
Kathy Ostrowsky, the clearly crazy director of the group, had this to say regarding the alleged mad experiments in a report to the Kansas City Star:
“Am I aware of it happening [in Kansas]? At this moment, no. But does that mean it’s not happening somewhere? I can’t tell you that.”
In addition to that wonderful insight, she also stated that they are asking questions about whether legislators would support legislation to require women to hand over invasive information about their personal lives before receiving an abortion. The kind of information they are seeking includes economic information, educational background, the reason for choosing an abortion, and more.
So, basically, they are looking for legislation that would allow them to shame women who are choosing to have an abortion even more effectively than they probably already do. Of course, they claim it’s not about that, but rather it’s about “science” and “safety.” If that were the case, wouldn’t you simply ask for a medical history and be done with it? No one really believes this is being done for legitimate reasons, do they?
So, if you’ve been following along, here’s what has happened to our country. We now have these anti-abortion nuts who are so fearful about abortion that they’ve elevated it to thinking “Well, if these women are willing to have abortions, the ultimate sin, who knows what else might happen?! Maybe they’ll start implanting themselves with half-horse fetuses!” How do you even make a leap in logic like that?!
America, folks.
