Kevin Spacey: Donald Trump Is A ‘Disease’ (Video)

In my opinion, Kevin Spacey is one of the two or three best actors alive today. Whether he’s playing a criminal mastermind  in “The Usual Suspects” or a horny dad in “American Beauty” (both of which he won the Oscar for), or in his current role in “Game of Cards,” the guy is simply amazing, delivering one incredible performance after another.

Performing as part of the Cannes Film Festival and at an event to raise money for AIDS charities, Spacey was dressed as the late talk show host Johnny Carson, and he began with an explanation for why the usual host, Sharon Stone, could not be there: Turns out Stone is fighting a dread disease, Spacey added:

“The name of the disease is Donald Trump.”

But Spacey was far from done sticking a skewer into the presumptive GOP nominee:

“Foreign films contain two things Donald Trump hates the most: foreigners and reading.”

He also made fun of Trump’s lack of business acumen, noting:

“Donald Trump would probably love it here, because there are so many casinos to bankrupt.”

After a quick costume change, Spacey reemerged as Bill Clinton, telling the audience:

“Vote for [Hillary] and you’ll get me.”

Other actors were also part of Spacey’s good-natured ribbing:

“Tonight you can bid on a stay at the Las Vegas home of Leonardo DiCaprio. It’s something very special; only a few hundred Victoria’s Secret models have had. Orlando Bloom is gonna bid on that.

But going back to what Spacey said about Trump being a disease: I have to admit I agree with that and think it’s something we should begin repeating in the months ahead. Trump is the disease, and the only cure is for him to be defeated with a vaccine of voting against him in record numbers.

Let the healing begin!
