You’ve probably never heard of Barbara Res. For seven years, she was head of construction for Donald Trump, and she was in charge of the construction of Trump Tower in New York City. This woman knows all about Donald Trump, and she is now warning that he must be stopped; he cannot be allowed to reach the Oval Office.
Res, appearing on “All in With Chris Hayes” last night, was to the point with her assessment of the threat posed by the Donald, saying:
“He HAS to be stopped.”
In a story which appeared in the New York Times, Res was even more explicit, telling the newspaper:
“I couldn’t imagine him ever doing a job where he would be beholden not to one person but 300 million.”
She also noted that in her opinion, Trump doesn’t just want to be President, he wants to be king, adding:
“I don’t see him getting away with all these things that he says he’s going to do.”
When you listen to Trump, it quickly becomes clear that he believes he can merely rule by decree and do as he pleases, without having to answer to Congress, the courts, or the American people. When anyone dares to call him out on such matters, Trump dismisses them or backtracks and says he was misquoted. In other words, he will lie to fit any situation, and he will say whatever it takes to achieve his dream of being President and attempting to become an American emperor.
Trump is the greatest threat this country has faced in decades, perhaps in our history. As Ms. Res so rightly noted, he has to be stopped. We all have to organize, register, and vote to make sure this cancer doesn’t wind up in the Oval Office.
