WATCH: Texas Superintendent P*ssed About Obama Letter BEFORE He Gets It!

A superintendent in Texas slammed the Obama administration’s letter to schools over the transgender bathroom issue. He had not even received the letter yet, and he was already saying he is not going to follow it.

The letter will be telling schools to know that they need to allow transgender students to use the bathroom that they choose. Schools that don’t follow will risk lawsuits and loss of federal funding.

Port Neches-Groves Superintendent Dr. Rodney Cavness had this to say about the letter:

“I got news for President Barack Obama. He ain’t my President and he can’t tell me what to do. That letter (to be released to all public schools tomorrow) is going straight to the paper shredder. I have 5 daughters myself and I have 2,500 girls in my protection. Their moms and dads expect me to protect them. And that is what I am going to do. Now I don’t want them bullied…but there are accommodations that can be made short of this. He (President Obama) is destroying the very fiber of this country. He is not a leader. He is a failure.”

Yes, he does have to do what Obama says because he is an employee of the federal government. President Obama is the president of the entire United States, not just those who elected him.

Obama released his letter after this superintendent had weighed in on the subject. The letter was sent to every school district in America. It told schools to allow transgender students to use the bathrooms that they want to or the schools would be in violation of federal law.

The schools that refuse to do this would be in violation of Title IX. Title IX is a set of non-discrimination laws that schools need to follow or they will lose federal funding.

Here is a quote about this from the letter:

“Schools have a responsibility to provide a safe and nondiscriminatory environment for all students, including transgender students. Harassment that targets a student based on gender identity, transgender status, or gender transition is harassment based on sex.”
