WATCH: Donald Trump Gives Boost To Bernie Sanders

Well, its finally official.

Bernie Sanders can finally be recognized as a serious contender for President of the United States.

Its not because he has won 19 state primaries and caucuses. It isn’t due to the huge crowds that he has been gathering around the country. Nope. Sanders can’t claim to be a legitimate candidate because of the many millions of dollars he’s raised, either.

If you listen to most news outlets, you will continue to hear that Bernie Sanders has no chance to win, should be dropping out, doesn’t have the math, etc, etc.

None of that matters now, though, because Donald Trump has finally given Bernie a nickname.

RawStory reports that lightweight news show Fox and Friends (which sounds like a children’s picture book) interviewed Trump by phone to chat about the election. Of course they congratulated him on winning two states where he ran unopposed. Then they turned to the Democrats, gleeful about the fact that Hillary Clinton was beaten by Bernie Sanders.

Trump dismissed the Vermont Senator with a typically snarky comment:

“I call him crazy Bernie because he’s not very good. Who’s going to run against a socialist and lose?”

Apparently Donald had already chosen Bernie’s new nickname, because he sent this Tweet earlier in the day:

There you go. Having defeated “Low Energy Jeb”, “Lyin’ Ted” and “Little Marco,” Trump has recently begun to use the monicker “Crooked Hillary” for his likely November opponent and “Crazy Bernie” for Sanders.

Poor Bernie. He couldn’t get respect from the media and he sure won’t get it from Trump.

All that has changed now, with the win in West Virginia. Now that Bernie has officially been dubbed “Crazy Bernie,” he can strut a little bit more. He must be a real live contender now that Donald has him in his sights.

If you can stomach it, watch the entire interview below, because you really have to hear Trump’s explanations of his policies on immigration and trade. You’ll either laugh out loud or your head will explode.

Maybe both.
