WATCH: These High School Students Shock Their Teacher In The Best Way

There is a lot of news out there about our failing schools. We hear about disrespectful students, violent students, and just plain lazy students all the time.

However, a group of young girls at a high school in Texas did something to show that kids are loving and kind. One teacher surely knows that now, if she didn’t know it already.

Faithit reports that Senior students Ashlei Mahan and Rachel Hanhart were sad when they learned that their math teacher, Mrs. Andrews, had lost her beloved pet cat. The teacher told the students that the 16 year old cat had died the day before, and that she was devastated.

The girls got together and made a plan. They bought balloons and flowers. They made a batch of cupcakes.

They also added one more special gift, held carefully in a box.

The girls made a video of the event, which you can watch below. The video starts with a simple, understated message:

“We’re about to go surprise Ms. Anderson, ‘cuz her cat died yesterday.”

They carefully set up their entrance into the classroom, so that their sweet, middle aged teacher would first see the balloon and then the flowers.

She reacted with gratitude and a teary smile, no doubt touched by the girls’ thoughtful act.

Then another young lady came in, carrying the cupcakes and the teacher’s smile brightened even more.

Finally, in came the girl carrying the box with the kittens.

The teacher’s reaction was absolutely priceless as she burst into joyful tears at the sight of the little guys peeking their heads out of the box. She reacted with child-like disbelief:

“Oh! Are they mine?!”

If you ever needed to have your faith in humanity restored, all you have to do is watch this video.

And if anyone ever tells you that kids today are all spoiled rotten, or that schools are failing, just send them here.
