This is the farewell to Ted Cruz that “Full Frontal” fans – and all other Ted Cruz detractors – have been waiting for.
Even though Samantha Bee has already referred to Cruz as “Princeton’s unwanted fetus,” “the world’s only unlikable Canadian,” and “America’s Newman,” the comedienne insists she was only on page three of the “Ted Cruz Thesaurus” when the junior senator from Texas abruptly suspended his campaign. However, she got to pull off just one more fantastic dig at the evangelical GOP candidate upon his departure.
“Godspeed, you terrifying, fundamentalist swamp Reagan.”
Even worse, said Bee, was that she’d never receive the Cruz/Fiorina posters she pre-ordered from the Ted Cruz campaign website.
Those posters were important, as Samantha Bee reminded us all that:
“She can do it, as long as ‘it’ doesn’t include grabbing her running mate’s hand or successfully standing up on a stage.”
