President Obama: The Election Is ‘Not A Reality Show’

President Obama said that Donald Trump’s record needs to be looked at thoroughly. Now that he is the presumptive nominee, we need to look deeper into his past and his views. Obama said the race for the White House is “not a reality show.” The president said:

“I think I just want to emphasize the degree to which we are in serious times and this is a really serious job. This is not entertainment, this is not a reality show. This is a contest for the presidency of the United States.”

Obama also said that the media needs to help vet the candidate instead of focusing on “the circus.” The president has previously said that Trump doesn’t really know about foreign policy. Do we really want a loud-mouthed reality TV star near our nuclear codes?

Trump has said that Japan and South Korea are manufacturing nuclear weapons to protect themselves from North Korea. He has also not ruled out using nuclear weapons in Europe.

Obama had this to say about our election:

“I said before that people pay attention to American elections. What we do is really important to the rest of the world. Even in those countries that are used to a carnival atmosphere in their own politics want sobriety and clarity when it comes to U.S. elections.”

Trump has stated that he will not use nuclear weapons, but he has also not ruled out the possibility. He is so volatile. Statements like this are scary.  What would happen if he all of a sudden got mad at one of these countries?

Now that Trump is the likely nominee, the RNC is trying to say that Trump will behave. But, we know how unpredictable this man can be. He may be able to hide his views now, but we all know what he really thinks. This man is not stable enough to be president.
