Using The Quran To Prove That Islam As A Religion Of Peace Is NOT An Oxymoron (VIDEO)

Many people falsely think that all Muslims are terrorists. Terrorists claim that the attacks in places like Brussels and Paris were justified by the Quran; this has led some to believe that the religion and all who follow it are violent. However, the majority of Muslims are peaceful people.

Many people falsely believe that Islam condones violence. The Quran does give Muslims the permission to participate in wars if they have to, but they cannot initiate it. If the enemy suggests peace, the Muslims involved should stop fighting. The Islamic terrorists are obviously ignoring those parts of the Quran.

Here are some verses from the Quran that show that it is a religion that promotes peace:

“O You who believe! Enter absolutely into peace (Islam). Do not follow in the footsteps of satan. He is an outright enemy to you.” (Holy Quran: 2, 208)

“God does not forbid you from being good to those who have not fought you in the religion or driven you from your homes, or from being just towards them. God loves those who are just.” (Surat al-Mumtahana, 8)

“We have appointed a law and a practice for every one of you. Had God willed, He would have made you a single community, but He wanted to test you regarding what has come to you. So compete with each other in doing good. Every one of you will return to God and He will inform you regarding the things about which you differed.” (Surat al-Ma’ida, 48)

Many people just aren’t aware of the details of the Islamic faith and the contents of the Quran. If you would like to learn more about it, there is now a study Quran complete with notes to help readers learn about this religious text.

Here we have the Pope saying that Islam is a religion of peace:
