Susan Sarandon Explains Why She Broke Up With Hillary Clinton (VIDEO)

Who wants Hillary for President? Susan Sarandon doesn’t, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert just revealed why.

Susan Sarandon brought a snapshot of her and Hillary Clinton to the show, taken a few years back before what she jokingly called their “break up:”

“Look how happy we were, and then I had to break up with her.”

Stephen Colbert thought they were a beautiful couple and wondered why they had to break up. Susan explained that in 2003:

“I told her don’t go in Iraq. I’m very upset about that… There’s not enough evidence and there’s no exit strategy, you know, everything that everybody was saying, and she went in. So I was like ’who is this person? I can’t trust her.’”

Susan went on to explain how she’s also an environmentalist and how fracking is the worst thing you can do. Hillary had disappointed her in this as well:

“She goes behind my back and she’s selling it all over the world.”

Stephen jokingly asked if Hillary was not checking in with her when she was Secretary of State, but Susan was caught up in listing the wrongdoings of Hillary:

“I don’t want glyphosite in my cereal. She’s selling Monsanto.”

The final blow was the $15 minimum wage, which Hillary was against.

“How can I go back with her? I don’t trust her.”

Susan is an avid Bernie Sanders fan and has endorsed him and supported him on numerous occasions and events. Asked why she wants him and not Hillary for President, she summarized:

“He’s been consistently morally in the right place my entire life.”
