GOP Lawmaker Tweets Out ‘N**ger,’ Then Claims He’s Not A Racist

You probably recall that shortly after the 2012 election, when President Obama crushed GOP challenger Mitt Romney, the Republican Party sat down and took a long look at why they had lost so badly and how to change their political fortunes in future elections. They finally decided that they needed to reach out more to minorities–especially blacks and Hispanics–and expand the base of the party. And of course they are now on the verge of nominating a man who says “the blacks” love him and wants to deport 12 million Hispanics.

If you were wondering how low the GOP could go, allow me to direct your attention to West Virginia, where GOP Delegate and Mayor Michael Ihle tweeted out this the other day:

Ihle posted this on a Twitter thread about food stamps and other “free stuff” the GOP is forever claiming Democrats use in order to convince African-American voters to support them. Also, there is scant proof that Lyndon Johnson ever said such a thing.

When the blowback began in response to Ihle’s tweet, he told a local media outlet:

“That kind of racism needs to be rooted out of society and shining a light on it is an effective way to do so.”

Others on social media decided to take Ihle down a few notches, and boy did they ever! Take a look:
