Boehner: Ted Cruz is ‘Lucifer In The Flesh’

John Boehner, former Republican Speaker of the House, spoke out about his feelings of Ted Cruz this Wednesday, and it is not good news for the presidential hopeful.

When Boehner was asked about his feelings on Cruz by an audience at Stanford, he made a face and drew laughter. Then, he elaborated, saying:

“Lucifer in the flesh. I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.”

Well, he certainly didn’t pull any punches describing his disdain for the candidate. His contempt is consistent with many reports lately that have described the feelings many of his Senate colleagues have for Cruz.

Boehner had nicer things to say about frontrunner Donald Trump, describing them as “texting buddies.”

When asked about John Kasich, he said:

“[Kasich] requires more effort on my behalf than all my other friends… but he’s still my friend, and I love him.”

This is the second time Boehner has used the term “Lucifer” to describe Cruz, with the first time happening during a question-and-answer when the former Speaker endorsed Paul Ryan as President. Boehner has also previously called Cruz a “jackass.”

Our favorite quotable of the election so far, though, is when Lindsay Graham (see video below) was asked if he prefers Donald Trump or Ted Cruz this election season. His answer?

“It’s like being shot or poisoned, what does it really matter?”

Graham ultimately decided Cruz would be a slightly better candidate, but when pressed for the reason why, all he could come up with was “he’s not Trump.”

What a five star crew of Republican candidates we have this year. Even the GOP leadership is shaking their heads.
