Ditzy Fox News Host Thinks God Should Choose Presidential Candidate (Video)

Fox News’ “Fox and Friends” co-host Ainsley Earhardt just can’t seem to keep the stupidest thoughts in her head from exploding out live on television. Although she had said that surviving a concentration camp was something we could all relate to, her latest utterance of lunacy takes the cake.

In a video shared on RawStory, “The View” host Candace Cameron Bure was asked what she thought it would take to unite Republicans. Bure admitted she didn’t know what it would take to fix the shattered party. As an American who holds conservative values she offered that she put her faith in Jesus Christ and would continue to pray about the situation.

Earhardt perked up at this admission and ran with it.

“I know your faith is important to you as it is to many of us and many of our viewers. Do you feel like in this election, we just pray about it and give it to God? And God’s going to pick the right candidate?”

It is a credit to Bure’s abilities as an actress, recently rekindled on Fuller House, that she is able to quickly mask the look of horror at this statement. She was quick to clarify that even though she would pray about who she would vote for, she recognized that actually casting a vote was a rather large part of the process.

“I think it’s our duty to still go to the polls. Even if, ultimately, I’m not satisfied with the candidate I’m still going to go in and vote.”

As usual it was left to Earhardt’s co-hosts, Brian Kilmeade and Steve Doocy, to attempt to salvage the discussion, but the damage had been done. Earhardt remained blissfully unaware of the potentially damaging implications of encouraging viewers to just sit back and let God take care of those pesky politics.

Truthfully, it might be for the best if Earhardt and those like her do just sit this election out. Her method of playing God roulette is no way to elect a president.
