NC Governor Pat McCrory Butthurt Over ‘Hollywood Elitists’ Boycotting His State

Last month, North Carolina passed the ridiculous, despicable HB2. It forces transgender people to use the bathrooms of the gender that they were born with instead of the gender identity they have now. It also allows discrimination against the LGBT community in North Carolina.

North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory signed this bill, and now MANY celebrities and companies are boycotting the state. Now, he is claiming HE is being discriminated against because “Hollywood elitists” are boycotting his state. I guess he is getting a taste of his own medicine. Perhaps it is time for him to consider that having people running away from your state in droves solely because of an idiotic law isn’t in the best interests of his state. Repeal the law.

The Governor of New York has banned state-funded travel to North Carolina. The NBA is looking to move the All-Star game to Atlanta because of the law. PayPal was going to build a big, new facility and add jobs, but they have abandoned those plans. “The boss,” Bruce Springsteen, has refused to perform in the state. A pornography website is blocking North Carolina users. A Beatle is boycotting the state! Ringo Starr refuses to perform in North Carolina. Pearl Jam is boycotting. Cirque Du Soleil is boycotting as well.

Here is what he had to say about Pearl Jam cancelling:

“Today, Pearl Jam and Boston chose to disappoint their fans and punish the hardworking men and women of North Carolina by canceling their shows. But it is the height of hypocrisy for these Hollywood elitists to deny their service to customers over a political disagreement.”

No matter how he disguises it as a political disagreement, it looks like McCrory just discovered that it isn’t very fun to be the one that is on the receiving end of discrimination.
