Even Tupac Knew Trump Was A Greedy SOB!!!

Even the late rapper Tupac  Shakur  knew Donald Trump was a greedy man. Well, before Shakur became a household name and transcendent rapper, Pac was hardly one to shy away from speaking his mind and imparting knowledge upon the masses.

MTV released an unaired  1992 interview on Tuesday which featured the late rapper offering his thoughts on inequality in America.  Shakur mentioned Trump and his wealth as an example of how some people can be driven by greed with very little desire to give back to others. During the interview he said this:

“This world is such a — and when I say this world, I don’t mean in an ideal sense. I mean it in the everyday, every little thing you do,”. “It’s such a ‘Gimme, gimme, gimme, everybody back off,’  Everyone’s taught that in school, everywhere.”

“Big business, if you want to be successful, you want to be like [Donald] Trump, ‘gimme, gimme, gimme. Push, Push, Push. Step, Step, Step. Crush, Crush, Crush.’ That’s how it all is.”

Shakur went on to suggest that people with wealth should be more mindful to assist Americans who are less fortunate (particularly African-Americans) to attain the necessary tools to acquire some sort financial freedom.

“For us to be on our own two feet — us meaning youth, us meaning black people, whatever you want to take it for — for us to be on our own two feet we do need help… it’s like, you got a friend that you don’t never look out for.”

“Now America got jewels, they’re paid and everything. Lending money to everyone except us. And it’s like, everybody needs a little help on their way to being self-reliant.” he concluded.

With Trump currently positioned as a legitimate Presidential candidate, it’s interesting to hear Tupac call the billionaire out for the same type of behavior Trump detractors still bring up today.

A recent investigation by the Washington Post claimed Trump has not given any of his personal cash to charitable causes in the last five years, although he has donated rounds of golf to charity auctions. In their own report on his charitable giving a year ago, the  Associated Press  found him to be “nowhere among the ranks of the country’s most generous citizens” despite his billionaire status.

A representative for Trump acknowledged to the Post that none of the gifts in cash had come from the Presidential hopeful himself, but said that was because the list analyzed was not a complete account of Trump’s gifts.  The representative also said Trump has given generously from his own pocket.

Whatever you may have thought of his music, it seems Tupac had a unique opinion about the “Donald”, even back then. Isn’t it odd that 24 years later, Shakur’s words still accurately describe  Trump’s attitude?  Gimme, push, crush…. win!
