McDonald’s Manager HIT BY A CAR Trying To Stop a Shoplifter

A manager at a McDonald’s in Arkansas called the police because teenagers were taking water cups and filling them with soda.

These three teenagers got cups of water from the drive-thru. They parked, came into the restaurant, dumped the water, and filled the cups with soda. Cody Morris, 18, pulled this stunt and then refused to return the soda when the manager asked him to. The other two teens involved returned their drinks. Morris got arrested because he would not.

When Morris tried to leave, the manager ran out and stood behind his car. Morris reversed and hit the manager with his car. Not giving up, the manager went and tried to wrestle the keys out of the ignition, and Morris hit him!

This is ridiculous! The soda is $1.49 WITH unlimited refills. The manager also shouldn’t have been risking his life over soda.

The police report only charged Morris with the felony robbery. He should also face an attempted murder charge for trying to run over the store manager. The original news articles just barely mention the fact that the manager got hit with the car. Morris is being held at a detention center nearby awaiting trial.

This is not the only case of stupid thieves taking from McDonalds. On April 6, a teenager was caught brandishing a gun at a McDonald’s in Maryland. It turned out to be a BB gun, but the teen is still sitting in a detention center awaiting trial.

Last month, a store cashier in Denver was run over by a car while trying to foil a shoplifter. Two women snuck clothes out of Burlington Coat Factory at a nearby mall. The women ran into a van and hit a parked car and a store cashier while fleeing from the mall.

Police always advise people not to risk their own safety while trying to prevent a crime. Take mental notes. Take down license plates. It is not safe to get directly involved.
