Rick Santorum is normally associated with his ridiculous views on issues of a personal nature (i.e. sexual preference and all things related to sex), but now it seems the failed GOP Presidential candidate and former Pennsylvania Senator has decided to aim some of his ignorance toward an entire religion: Islam.
During a recent lecture Santorum was giving on Islam, he claimed that Muslims were now in the process of taking over Europe, which he derided as a godless continent, and he also proclaimed that “Sharia law” is by its very nature both oppressive and monolithic.
After his talk, a college student approached Santorum and asked him if he could name the 5 foundations of Sharia. He could not. The student also told Santorum that Muslim scholars across the religious spectrum have all condemned ISIS. Additionally, Santorum could not name a single Muslim scholar who supports ISIS.
