MSNBC’s Joy Reid Questions Omarosa On Her Support Of Trump ‘As A Woman Of Color’ (VIDEO)

On Friday, that personification of annoying condescension and evasiveness-disguised-as-answers, Omarosa Manigault, tried to square off with MSNBC’s Joy Reid in an interview about Donald Trump. Manigault did what she always does: she avoided answering any direct questions and relied on stock answers to try to confuse her questioner to appear as if she knew what she was talking about.

Reid didn’t appear to fall for it.

Despite being asked intelligent and probing questions about the former “The Apprentice” contestants uniting against Trump’s presidential run, Manigault apparently had three talking points memorized for the interview that she chose to stick to like glue: the contestants are just angry that they didn’t win on the show, the contestant who organized the rally (who did win) doesn’t really oppose him because it’s April, and nothing is Trump’s fault because of Hillary Clinton…or something.

Reid showed a clip of Randal Pinkett, a former winner on the reality show “The Apprentice,” who said:

“As alums of ‘The Apprentice,’ we have had the opportunity to work with Donald in a variety of capacities, including as an employee of the Trump organization. It is the totality of these experiences, realized by only a few and a handful of Americans, that gives us our unique perspective and leads us to the conclusion that Donald is not worthy of the highest office of the land.”

Omarosa laughed at the clip, but Reid pressed her.

“Given all that Donald has said about Mexicans, immigrants, about Muslims, the insults to women…given all that he’s said and all the people he’s offended over the course of this campaign, not to mention demanding to see the President of the United States’s birth certificate, being a birther, why is Randal Pinkett not exactly right?”

“You know,” Manigault answered, “I know these guys. Some of them are really good friends and, like any family, you’re going to have people who have differences. In my own family, I have Hillary supporters, I have Bernie supporters, and this is the same case with ‘The Apprentice’ family. Clearly, these six supporters of Hillary Rodham Clinton have different opinions about whether or not Donald Trump should be the Republican nominee and they’re entitled to that. That is the beauty of democracy: that you all get to come to the table with their own differing views. But I stand with Donald Trump because I know that he has an incredible vision for this country and he will, indeed, make America great not just for this group or for that group, but for everyone.”

Everyone except Mexicans, immigrants, Muslims, women, and everyone else Trump insults and demeans, that is. Also, speaking of Democrats in Omarosa’s family who support Hillary Clinton, Omarosa herself was one of them all the way up until the moment someone offered her money and TV time to support Trump. Manigault was a Democrat who joked that she “has Hillary Clinton tattooed on my left arm” until just last year.

The interview only got more eyeroll-inducing from there. See the full segment below:
