Hilarious! SNL Cold Open Reunities Julia Louis-Dreyfus And Larry David For Brooklyn Dem Debate Spoof

When Julia Louis-Dreyfus hosts Saturday Night Live, what better way is there to open the show than to have her “Seinfeld” character, Elaine Benes, square off against former “Seinfeld” co-creator, Larry David as Bernie Sanders?

The two revisited some famous lines from the NBC show, including the “yada yada yada” line.

“I have two questions. The first is for Senator Sanders.”

“I couldn’t hear the question!” David as Sanders yelled out.

“Yeah, I didn’t ask it yet, Bernie. So listen, you’ve been pretty vague in the past, but how exactly are you gonna break up the big banks?”

“You mean the big bank breakup?”

“Yeah, the big bank breakup.”

“You break ’em up!” Larry David quipped.

“How? How?”

“Once I’m elected president, I’ll have a nice schvitz in the White House gym, then I’ll go to the big banks, I’ll sit them down, and yada yada yada, they’ll be broken up.”

“What? No, no. You can’t ‘yada yada yada’ at a debate. Also, you ‘yada, yada’d’ over the best part!”

“No,” Larry David shot back. “I mentioned the schvitz!”

Anther former NBC TV sitcom character, Rachel Green from “Friends” played by SNL cast member Vanessa Bayer, chimed in with a non-question. When yet another, Dr. Huxtible from The Cosby Show, was introduced, both Democratic candidates balked.

“I need black voters,” David-as-Sanders quipped, “but not that bad.”
