Sarah Palin Letting The Crazy Out Again, Says Bill Nye Is ‘Not A Scientist’

We’ve all heard by now that former Alaska Governor and right-wing nut job Sarah Palin was going to “debate” some clips of Bill Nye talking about climate change. That may seem crazy enough, but remember this is the party that thought Clint Eastwood yelling at a chair was a good idea. This is actually kind of a step up for them.

I guess they only feel confident enough to debate these issues when the intelligent people aren’t actually present to talk back.

Apparently though, she just can’t stop running her mouth. Raw Story reports that while attending a screening of “Climate Hustle,” a documentary about how much climate change is a big hoax, Palin said:

“Bill Nye is as much a scientist as I am. He’s a kids’ show actor, he’s not a scientist.”

Just the fact that she attended a screening of and agrees with that documentary, should be enough to prove how much of a scientist she isn’t. We all know that scientists almost unanimously agree that global warming is real and man-made.

But if that wasn’t enough proof, I guess having a degree in mechanical engineering from Cornell University is not “scientist” enough for Sarah Palin. Apparently, having a degree in journalism, and being a sportscaster before jumping into politics, makes you more informed about science.

I also suppose that being Vice-President and Executive Director of the Planetary Society, an organization founded in part by the late “Cosmos” alum Carl Sagan, is just not enough. And I suppose helping to design the sundials for the Mars Exploration Rover missions gives him no scientific street cred either.

Look, we sane people all know she’s full of it. The real question is: “How can she even say this with a straight face?!” She must know how crazy that statement is, or perhaps she doesn’t. And if she doesn’t, I’d really like to know what’s going on inside that head of hers that makes her feel she’s equal to Nye.

Maybe she really is just as full of herself as Donald Trump. In that case, perhaps we have the perfect GOP ticket for the 2016 presidency. Palin who is full of hot air and Trump who is overflowing with hot air.
