WATCH: Steve Buscemi HILARIOUSLY Mocks John Kasich With Stephen Colbert

Current presidential candidate John Kasich wrote a book back in 2006 called Stand For Something: The Battle for America’s Soul. According to Stephen Colbert:

“In the book, he spends almost three pages discussing how much he hates the movie, Fargo.”

Kasich eventually led a one-man campaign to have Blockbuster not carry the film due to the gore entailed. During this project, he specifically cited the grisly scene where Carl Showalter, played by Steve Buscemi, disposes of a body in a wood chipper. This led to the company pledging to label graphic content more clearly, though Kasich admits he did not immediately cease his tirade against the store.

During Steve Buscemi’s recent visit to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the duo discusses the revelations in Stand for Something while Buscemi makes a revelation of his own – he’s financed a film where he himself, the wood chipper guy, portrays Kasich.

Colbert makes a cameo in this landmark film as the Blockbuster clerk Randy who, after a short time, winds up in the “cassette grinder” after an argument with Buscemi’s character.

Buscemi brings a level of passion to Kasich not seen before. This performance is deserving of an award, to say the least.
