Pervy Alabama Governor Apologizes For Affair He’s Not Admitted He Had

Last year, Alabama Governor Robert Bentley divorced his wife of 50 years out of the blue. Since then, information has come out that the Governor was having an affair during that time. He recently apologized for this sex scandal but hasn’t admitted to it yet!

On Tuesday, during a press conference on an unrelated matter, Bentley stated:

“I’ve asked God to forgive me because that’s the most important thing. I want back in His fellowship. And so I asked God to forgive me. But I asked other people to again forgive me and I’ve already done that and I have truly asked the people of this state – they’re the folks who love me and are the best people in the world – I have asked them to forgive me.”

Rebekah Mason, Bentley’s former Chief Aide resigned at the end of March stating she “long ago resolved the personal issue playing out now for everyone this week.” Regarding being questioned about if he loves Rebekah, Bentley responded:

“I love many members of my staff, in fact, all the members of my staff. Do I love some more than others? Absolutely.”

A bipartisan effort to impeach Bentley is currently coming together, supported by an overwhelming number of voters. On Tuesday, Bentley released a statement regarding the impeachment process:

“There are no grounds for impeachment, and I will vigorously defend myself and my administration from this political attack. Today’s press conference is nothing more than political grandstanding intended to grab headlines and take the focus away from the important issues the Legislature still has to address before the end of the session.”

It seems unlikely that Bentley will be able to continue to deny certain aspects of this affair aside from the inappropriate comments he’s admitted to. After all, recordings show that their mouths were used for much more than talking to each other.
