Shocker! A Fox News Anchor Failed In Math Class! Wants To Change School Curriculums

This Fox News anchor has taken her ignorance too far now: Andrea Tantaros. She was participating in a panel about a new book, The Math Myth by Andrew Hacker. This political science professor says that kids who do not have careers requiring algebra shouldn’t have to take it. He claims that only 5 percent of occupations require mathematics, and says that math is the biggest cause of high school drop outs.

Tantaros was the only one on the five person panel to agree with this statement. She said that she had trouble in math class in school, and she managed to weasel out of taking it.

Her co-hosts on the math panel were trying to convince her that algebra is useful in many situations. She reiterated that she doesn’t need these skills. She referred to the only “math” she uses (she uses this while shopping):

“I have one mathematical [equation] that I apply. If I like it, I buy it.”

All of her fellow panel members agreed that the basic problem solving skills learned in advanced mathematics course are essential in everyday life.

This is the same anchor that mocked President Obama over his gun control announcement. She said the President’s tears when talking about the Sandy Hook attack were “not believable.” Yes, a man crying over murdered children is not believable.

So, her failing math class shouldn’t be TOO surprising. She is a shining example of what happens when news anchors don’t have a proper education.

This isn’t the first time she has commented on removing subjects from school. She previously said that history class teaches “stupid liberal crap.” She claimed the history is focusing too much on bad things America has done. We don’t get to pick and choose the truth, Andrea. Fox News certainly knows how to pick them.
