Shocker! Republican Says God Is Punishing Us…Again

The former Congresswoman and Tea Party nut job, Michele Bachmann, has struck again with her stupid remarks. After the Brussels attacks, she said that the bombings were “God’s way of punishing us” for President Obama’s visit to Cuba.

In a World News Daily column she had this to say:

“’Our feckless U.S. president appeared unfazed by the message he portrayed of American incompetence and historic irrelevance.

In fact, the president appeared pleased with himself and seemed to revel in his infallible cleverness. Only he could break the barriers of isolation his misguided predecessors had painstakingly built. Only he could vouchsafe freedom against attack from legions of murderous Communist regimes and Jew-hating ayatollahs.’”

Over 30 people died, Michele! Are you going to tell those families God is punishing them?!

This is the remark about God from that same column:

“Or maybe our president’s humiliation comes in a manner so devastating it makes one wonder whether the Creator of humankind isn’t reminding this world of the inferiority of foolishness in the face of wisdom.”

This rabid Tea Partier has also said that Muslims worship a false God. She just generally thinks Christians are better despite the racism, wars, and other horrors all religion have doled out.

This is not the first time she has reared her ugly head lately. Last year, she called Obama a “friend of the terrorists.” Here is a big dose of her idiotic remarks in case you haven’t read enough.

This is not the first time fundamentalists have said God is punishing us for things.

You know, for a religion that wants to convert everyone, Christians say some ugly things about people. We’re supposed to worship a God that wants to see people murdered?! It’s no wonder the number of non-religious people is going up.
