Israeli Minister Makes Rude Remark About Brussels Terror Attacks

On Tuesday, we woke up to the news of some horrific bombings in Brussels, Belgium. Some of the Republicans, including Trump, have used it to further their political campaigns.

An Israeli minister for transport and intelligence, Yisrael Katz, said that Brussels should be beefing up security instead of “eating chocolate and loving life.”

Yes, the thirty families that lost loved ones and the over 200 injured are just sitting back and enjoying life right now. Seriously?!

Here is the full quote:

“If in Belgium they continue eating chocolate and enjoying life, and continue to appear as great democrats and liberals, and not decided that some Muslims in their country are [organising] terror, they won’t be able to fight them.”

At least the Prime Minister of Israel had kinder words for the country:

“The chain of attacks from Paris to San Bernardino to Istanbul to the Ivory Coast and now to Brussels and the daily attacks in Israel, this is one continuous assault on all of us. The only way to defeat these terrorists is to join together and fight them together. That’s how we’ll defeat terrorism: with political unity and with moral clarity.”

So far we know two of the attackers (brothers) have been identified as the bombers. The have ties to the Paris attacks in November. The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the Brussels attacks.

The Prime Minister of Australia, Malcom Turnbull, blames the “weakness in European security” for the Brussels attacks. He was trying to ease the minds of his constituents that were worrying about an attack there. Here is some of his statement:

“There’s been a real breakdown in intelligence. If you can’t control your borders, you don’t know who’s coming or going. Regrettably they allowed things to slip and that weakness in European security is not unrelated to the problems they’ve been having in recent times.”

A horrific attack is not the time to play political games, people.
