BUSTED: GOP Representative Arrested For Drug Possession, Solicitation Of A Minor

New Hampshire State Representative Kyle Tasker has resigned after being charged with three counts of felony drug possession and soliciting a minor for the purpose of sex.

Tasker was charged with sending pornographic videos and sexually themed messages to a 14-year old girl who turned out to be an undercover cop. Tasker allegedly offered to trade drugs for sex with the “girl.”

Nottingham Police Chief Gunnar Foss reported that the investigation into Tasker began when his office received information that the Republican had attempted to contact a minor online:

“We had information that he was attempting to contact a 14-year-old girl online, and that kicked in the Internet Crimes Against Children team. They were monitoring a lot of his stuff, and found out through his communications that there was a significant amount of drugs at his home.”

When authorities searched Tasker’s home, they found marijuana, hallucinogenic mushrooms, and the prescription drug Suboxone. The drugs were packaged for sale, police said.

It should be noted that Tasker was a member of the legislative Committee on Children and Family Law, which

“Deals with all matters relating to children and youth, their rights, obligations, and protection and the application of criminal laws and sentencing for children.”

This is not the first time Tasker has come to the attention of the national media. In 2012, Tasker dropped a loaded handgun on the floor of the New Hampshire House of Representatives. He also once said he wished he could join “a white caucus of state legislators.”

Tasker also once made light of domestic violence in an online posting, joking about how he liked to eat “battered women.”

And now karma has made a visit to Kyle Tasker’s world. He certainly seems like a deserving candidate for Asshat of the Week, doesn’t he?
