Atheist Group Will Troll ‘Ark Encouter’ Park With ‘Genocide And Incest’ Billboard

In July, a new theme park will open in the state of Kentucky. It’s called the Ark Encounter Theme Park, and it will feature a 510-foot replica of Noah’s Ark, which creationist and park founder Ken Ham maintains will teach that the Noah and his family–along with two of every animal–built such a vessel and escaped from destruction.

But now an atheist group has decided to troll the Ark Encounter with a series of billboards which they say will more appropriately label the new theme park as the “Genocide and Incest Park.”

The Tri-State Freethinkers are hoping to raise $2,000 to pay for the billboards which they say will serve as a form of counterprotest to the Ark Encounter, which they believe:

“Celebrates a biblical parable of genocide and incest. While they have a legal right to celebrate their mythology, we find it immoral and highly inappropriate as family entertainment.”

Should you care to donate to help the Freethinkers and have $500 to pony up, they will even give you the high honor and privilege of having your picture displayed on the billboard, complete with you drowning underneath the Ark. How cool is that?!

On their website, the Freethinkers also have this note for prospective donors:

“Give a face to the millions who lost their lives in the fabled flooding. You will also receive a poster of the billboard, the Rain Poncho of Protection and definitely a thank you note.”

The Freethinkers say the first $2,000 raised will be used to set up one small billboard on a state route for one month. I they raise $6,000, they will put up six small billboards or a larger one along a major Kentucky interstate. And if they happen to raise $150 million (the estimated cost of the Ark Encounter park), they will also:

“Build our very own Genocide & Incest Park and ask for state tax incentives and we will not [discriminate] during (hiring).”

So dig deep and see what you can do to help this worthy cause.
