Breitbart Ex-Spokesperson Drops A Bomb About His Former Employer On CNN

Kurt Bardella was not only a spokesperson for Breitbart, he was also President and CEO of Endeavor Strategies. As most know, Breitbart is a right-leaning political news organization. It is also in the middle of an assault controversy between one of its reporters, Michelle Faith, and Donald Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski. In the middle of all of this, Bardella resigned March 11.

Bardella opened up about the reason he resigned as a Breitbart spokesperson to CNN’s Don Lemon later that day. In the interview, Bardella explained:

“Don, I think that when you get to a point where you can’t a hundred-percent support who you’re representing, the right thing to do is to step aside and inform them that you can no longer represent them, and that’s what I did. I reached this conclusion after watching over the last few days how this has unfolded. I personally felt that Breitbart hadn’t adequately supported Michelle Fields, one of their own reporters through this whole ordeal, and at the end of the day you have to be able to live with yourself.”

When Lemon asked why he couldn’t support Breitbart one-hundred-percent anymore, Bardella said:

“I just disagree with the course of which they’ve been covering this and how they’ve treated Michelle. I think that they have been looking for a reason to disprove something when all the evidence, from a Washington Post reporter’s firsthand account, to the bruises on Michelle’s arm, with all the photos and video clips that we’ve seen, strongly suggest that Corey Lewandowski, Donald Trump’s campaign manager, was the one who did this, and there’s no reason to never support your own reporter.”

It’s at this point in the interview that Lemon asks the million-dollar question:

“You’re saying they’re lying?”

Bardella wastes no time in responding with:

“Yes, I am.”

This candid answer left Lemon literally speechless. Bardella goes on to explain that even as evidence kept piling up, Breitbart seemed to show “resistance” in supporting Fields. He also goes on to explain that Breitbart has been very public with their support for the Trump campaign. With all of this, Bardella did not feel comfortable, especially as a spokesperson, in the position he had been placed.

During the remainder of the interview, Bardella speaks very candidly about Trump and his violent and divisive rhetoric. It’s no secret that tension between Trump and the press has been getting worse. Now with criminal charges being filed, the tension will no doubt reach a new level.

For a man that is basically isolating himself from everything that makes America great, it’s very telling that he is the GOP’s presidential frontrunner.
