Trump Strikes Back At Romney

Donald Trump struck back at Mitt Romney’s scathing remarks today.

Romney took to the stage earlier today. In his speech, he criticized Trump’s campaign. He called Trump dishonest, misogynistic, greedy, and melodramatic.

“Here’s what I know: Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud,” he said. “His promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University. He’s playing members of the American public for suckers. He gets a free ride to the White House, and all we get is a lousy hat.”

These remarks come four years after he solicited Trump for his endorsement during his run for the presidency. The irony of this is not lost on Trump.

“I don’t know what happened to him,” he said. “You can see how loyal he is. He was begging for my endorsement. I could have said, ‘Mitt, drop to your knees.’ He would have dropped to his knees.”

Trump also took the opportunity to criticize fellow presidential candidate Marco Rubio at the same time. Trump is set to debate Rubio tonight.

“Mitt is indeed a choke artist,” he said. “He choked like I’ve never seen anyone choke, other than Rubio.”

He claimed to be the cause of millions of people abandoning the Democratic and Independent Parties, who now back the Republican Party.

“It’s the biggest story in politics, how many people are flocking into the Republican Party,” he said.

He also claimed to be much more valuable than Romney. He said merely one of his properties in New York alone dwarfs Romney’s net worth. Later, he denied Romney’s claim that if he released his tax returns, it would be a “bombshell.” Trump has pointed to an ongoing audit as his justification for keeping his records from the public eye.

Despite his criticisms of the speech, he complimented Romney’s wife, calling her “a lovely woman.”
