On Friday, New Jersey Governor and former 2016 GOP contender Chris Christie decided to endorse current front-runner Donald Trump. It seemed an odd move at the time, but when you consider that Christie has no political future once he leaves office, it starts to make more sense. No doubt Christie is angling for a cabinet position in a Trump Administration.
And how does Trump repay the favor? By being a major league asshole while the two were at a campaign rally in Tennessee yesterday.
Christie walked on the stage with Trump, but the Donald was not about to share the adulation of his adoring fans with anyone else, so he turned to Christie and said:
‘Get on the plane and go home. It’s over there. Go home.’
I think the honeymoon may be over with. Trump has used Christie for his own purposes, and now he’s tossing him aside like an old newspaper.
