Watch As Moderator Shames Cruz After Lie About Judges Not Being Appointed In Election Years

The moderator for last night’s Republican debate, John Dickerson, had a front row seat to some pathetic, childlike, and ignorant posturing. Perhaps one of the best moments though was when Ted Cruz tried to claim that:

“We have 80-years of precedent of not confirming Supreme Court Justices in an election year.”

As Cruz continued to push this claim — doing what a moderator is supposed to do — Dickerson pressed Cruz on the issue by saying:

“But Kennedy was confirmed in ‘88.”

Dickerson was referring to Anthony Kennedy who was nominated by Ronald Reagan in 1987 and sworn into the Supreme Court in 1988.

As Cruz tried to worm his way through more of his BS, Dickerson did not let up, finally saying:

“I just want to get the facts straight for the audience, I apologize.”

While this brought some jeers from the audience, the fact that Cruz was left speechless was priceless. He looked like a poor Canadian child that just lost his dog. What’s worse is he even tried to use the same lie this morning on “Meet the Press.” I believe I’ll save this video just to bring me a few laughs when I need them.
