Most Frequently Played Song Is One Everyone Loves To Hate

What song would you consider the most frequently song ever played? I’m not talking about the greatest song ever, just a song that people demand or that a radio station may play over and over.

Billboard repeatedly puts Chubby Checkers’ “The Twist” in the number one spot for their hot 100 list. This Exist recently discovered, however, another song that is the most frequently played.

After learning that Natalie Imbruglia’s 1997 hit song “Torn” played on Australian radio about 75 times per day, for a total of 300,000 times all the way up to 2011, This Exist researched what songs outside of viral hits, such as Psy’s “Gangnam Style,” were the most frequently played songs.

They discovered that in the U.S. alone, The Beatles’ “Yesterday” has played 380 times a day, or 7 million times total since it first came out in 1965.

This Exist revealed that The Righteous Brothers’ “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’” has played 1 million more times than The Beatles beloved hit.

The song, however, that topped the list is Disney’s “It’s A Small World,” which has played 50 million times worldwide.

This Exist did not state whether the song’s frequency was based on play time from radio and/or T.V., or whether the frequency of “It’s A Small World” comes from the fact that it is on constant loop on the ride with the same name, at four Disney parks (Disneyland, Magic Kingdom, Disneyland Paris, and Tokyo Disneyland).

Despite where they got their information, after watching the video below, you will note that This Exists finds this song repulsive or a song that everyone hates. I beg to differ. Though it may be very annoying after your children make you go on the ride about a dozen times, it is obviously very popular considering it is the most frequently played song, regardless of how people listen to this song.
