Cher Is Really Pissed About The Water Crisis In Flint, And Her Tweets Prove It

You might think that a star as famous as Cher doesn’t know what’s taking place all the way in Flint, Michigan, or even care, but unlike the GOP leaders in that state, she most certainly does. Earlier this week she donated 180,000 bottles of water to the city, and she is also speaking out on social media.

As big of a star as Cher is now, she comes from humble beginnings, as she noted in this tweet:

Following that tweet, the singer decided to remind her followers on Twitter exactly what’s going on in Flint:

Can you imagine your child going to the faucet for a drink of water and seeing this brown sludge come out? Or can you fathom how much dirtier your clothes would be if you tried to wash them in this crap? It truly does make you appreciate what you have, doesn’t it?

Then Cher decided to take on the GOP Governor of Michigan, Rick Snyder, and what she posted is both scathing and also very on point:

Whatever you may think of Cher as a performer or person, she is speaking the God’s honest truth on this one. Rick Snyder is guilty as hell and should resign. And he should be held legally liable for the mess in Flint. Republicans love to talk about Americans taking responsibility to get ahead in the world. But then when it comes time for them to take the hit for their mistakes, they try and pass the buck.

Not this time. Time for Rick Snyder to go. And to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
