Here’s something I’ve been wondering in the past few weeks: Does GOP frontrunner Donald Trump know just how incredibly ignorant most of his supporters are, and is that all part of his master plan for winning the Republican nomination?
Today I received my answer in the form of this remark Trump made in front of a crowd supporters in Sioux City, Iowa:
Yes, you heard that correctly, Trump actually said:
“My people are so smart — and you know what else they say about my people? The polls. I have the most loyal people — did you ever see that?
“I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose any voters, OK? It’s, like, incredible.”
What that actually tells us about those who plan to vote for Trump is that they are even dumber than we initially suspected. They would probably applaud if this massive bag of intestinal gas whipped out an AK-47 and began mowing them down in mid-sentence. They would even dance with glee and great delight as they shouted:
“I got shot by Donald Trump! I’m so honored!”
Also, this clearly indicates that Trump does indeed realize the total lack of comprehension and understanding which is the hallmark of his fans. They show up to hear him say outrageously racist things, and when he does them one better by insulting them to their faces, they even applaud that.
Face it, folks, Donald Trump is here to stay, and he is doing what many thought could not be done so quickly or by only one person: He is destroying the Republican party, which will never recover from all of the voting blocs he has managed to alienate during his campaign.
And to the Trump supporters, I have this to say: You’re being used and you cannot even see it. Tell me, how does it feel to be taken for a ride and insist on paying for it by the inch?
