Jamie Foxx Sees Upturned Car And Does The Unthinkable

This may go down as one of the most valiant acts he’s ever done. Jamie Foxx has just saved a man’s life after his truck crashed outside the actor’s home in Ventura County, California.

Brett Kyle, 32, was speeding in Moorpark, CA– a town close to Foxx’s home. The truck veered off the road and rolled several times before coming to a stop, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Marco Marin.

The truck landed on its passenger side with the driver still in the vehicle. Foxx said he heard the crash outside and dialled 911 before running to the driver’s aid.

As Foxx was getting him out he said to the man:

“You’ve got to help me get you out because I don’t want to leave you. You’ve got angels around you.”

Foxx and an off-duty EMT managed to cut the man’s seatbelt using scissors and dragged him out seconds before the truck was engulfed in flames. A minute later, emergency services were on the scene.

Ventura County Fire and American Medical Response transported the victim to Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center. The collision report noted that he had suffered major head, chest, neck and waist trauma including burns and a punctured lung.

Kyle is expected to be investigated for driving under the influence of alcohol.

The driver’s father Brad Kyle met Foxx to thank him for his actions.

He was in tears when he spoke to local media about what Foxx had done for his son:

“I just kept watching it and going `My god, my god, he didn’t have to do a thing.’

“I think we all hope that we can do something when the time is there. But the question is, do we? Do we act or do we fear for our own lives? And he did not.”
