Damian Aspinall has perhaps one of the most rewarding jobs in the world. His organization, the Aspinall Foundation, helps reintroduce captive gorillas back into the wild in Africa. Damian has seen over 100 gorillas released into the wild, but one special male gorilla holds a special place in his heart.

Kwibi and Damian were very close during the gorilla’s time at Howletts [Wild Animal Park], but after Kwibi was released into the wild, he and his favorite human were likely to never see each other again. Damian desperately wanted to check up on his friend, but was advised against it due to Kwibi’s reportedly aggressive nature towards other humans who had tried to get close to him. Would Kwibi remember his long-lost buddy?
