What’s worse than a break in at an anti-robbery press conference? Quite little, I daresay.
The ABC7 News crew wouldn’t have seen this coming as they got the shock of their lives when they found that their car had been broken into while attending a press-conference in Washington. The press-conference, which was chaired by DC Mayor Muriel Bowser and Police Chief Cathy Lanier, was on the Task Force created to fight robberies. Despite the press conference being held no more than 100 feet away from the scene of the crime, someone was still able to carry out the dastardly act.
According to Stephen Tschida, the break-in was carried out on Wednesday morning when the culprit(s) broke a window, stole some cache of equipment and left the scene unmolested.
Now, the question is: Who would have the guts to break into a News crew’s vehicle and then cart away equipment?
Strange news indeed.
