Granted, those who support Donald Trump are a breed apart, prone to saying some incredibly vile and ignorant crap. But the Trump acolyte who showed up on CNN earlier today for an interview about President Obama’s executive action on guns was perhaps the most bizarre thing I’ve seen in a long long time.

Mark Limoges of New Hampshire was the guest, speaking with hosts John Berman and Kate Bolduan, and during the entire five-minute interview, Limoges held an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle in his hands as if it was the most beloved thing in the world. Which it may well be when you consider that this specimen also owns the Black Ops Arms gun store.

The gun, Limoges explained, was one like he recently gave to the Donald:

“This is an exact replica of the gun we gave Mr. Trump. It has our Black Ops Arms symbol on it with our Black Ops Arms symbol on the handrail. And the other side, we have the ‘Live Free or Die’ with the American flag on the handrail.”

Ohhhhhhkay. Now that you’ve shown it to everyone, you can go head and put it down, Mr. Limoges. But he did not. Not once!

Limoges also commented that the Secret Service was not exactly thrilled when he presented an AR-15 to Hamster Head Trump:

“We actually wanted Mr. Trump to come to our gun store, which the Secret Service was not real thrilled about. A Secret Service agent came to the store, took the gun. We removed the bolt out of it. They took possession of the weapon and then presented it to us before we went into the room to present it to Mr. Trump.”

Gee, I cannot imagine why the Secret Service would hesitate for a moment to let a lugnut like Mark Limoges. who treats a gun like a long-lost lover, give such a rifle to a Presidential candidate. What a bunch of killjoys!

At this point, Limoges was asked if he thought the executive order President Obama signed Tuesday was part of a plan to take away guns from all Americans. Limoges, predictably, replied:

“I think it’s probably a first step towards it, yes.”

Kate Bolduan tried to insert some sanity back into the interview, noting:

“The president said yesterday in his speech that his actions are not a plot to take away everybody’s guns.”

Limoges:

“Mr. Obama has also said other things that have not always been the truth.

“Most of the people that come in [to the gun store] are real nervous about what Mr. Obama is going to do to limit their chances of getting weapons.”

And this all leaves me wondering: Does Mark Limones shower and sleep with that AR-15, too?

Come See The Man With The Gun On TV!
